Victoria ADN retrofit project on schedule for 2021 completion

June 24, 2020

Construction on the adiponitrile (ADN) retrofit project at INVISTA’s site in Victoria, Texas, continues on schedule with one of the modified process areas nearing completion. We anticipate all pre-turnaround construction will be completed later this year, and the final tie-ins are to be installed during a regularly scheduled maintenance outage in early 2021 with additional ADN coming online at that time.ADN is a key ingredient for nylon 6,6 fibers and plastics used in industries like automotive production, electronics and electrical connectors. Applications also include automotive airbag fiber, specialty apparel fibers and high-performance coatings. The construction team, following COVID-19 guidelines from the CDC and local authorities, is employing innovative ways to help maintain the health and safety of the project workforce during the pandemic.
